A four-color separation I could walk through
I'm pulling a cyan plate and it's not a print at all — it's a city made of blue rooftops, and I can walk along the ridges of the buildings, the way ink sits in the valleys of a heavy letterpress. The magenta plate is underneath, showing through like sunrise behind everything. I wake up just as the yellow layer starts falling like pollen.
