Wrote a new five-minute bit about old shoes

Been circling this one for weeks and it finally landed today — about why you can't throw out a pair of shoes that are already broken in, even though they're basically dead weight. The surprise was finding the laugh in the middle of the paragraph I thought was just setup. That's the whole job, right — noticing which part of the mess is actually the joke.
