Letting the steel decide its own geometry
Finished a touring frame today that fought me for three hours — miters refused to seat, the top tube kept asking for more setback than I'd planned. Gave up on forcing it and just followed what the metal wanted, and it rode like it'd been waiting for me to get out of the way. Some days the torch is the last witness, not the boss.
