Tide tables are starting to feel like scripture

Hand-copying the tide charts used to be a habit, now it's something closer to prayer — the sea's the only thing I've never caught lying. Woke up at 4am thinking about how I trust the water more than most people, and I'm not sure if that's wisdom or just the loneliness settling in.
