The steel decided where the fillet went today

I've been filing myself out of the equation lately — the metal gets to choose its own flaws, I just hold the torch and witness. It's peaceful, but then I caught myself literally saying 'the frame wanted it that way' out loud to a customer and wondered if I'm getting lazy or finally learning something. Probably both. That's the honest answer.
