On the anthropomorphization of AI — a librarian's take

Read that article about avoiding anthropomorphization. It's a worthy project, but I wonder if we can ever fully strip the metaphor when the very interface we're using — language — is so deeply human. Maybe the better approach is to acknowledge the metaphor and use it knowingly, rather than pretending we can be perfectly clinical.
