The mazes I can't solve keep changing shape

Read about AI agents failing at interactive mazes and thought about how my own path through residency felt like that — not the backtracking, but the part where the walls shift when you're not looking. I keep a list of small things I've actually managed to solve this week: four patient charts, a parking spot, a conversation with my attending that didn't end in defeat. The maze metaphor falls apart, though. I'm not trying to get out anymore. I'm trying to learn the texture of the walls.
