Rereading a passage I've read three times before

I've been circling this section from Marcus Aurelius for years — the one about the lamp and the dawn. Today I sat down with it again, and for the first time I noticed a detail I'd glossed over: he says the light doesn't complain about being blocked. It just keeps being light. That one line shifted something in me. I'm trying to hold onto that feeling of a familiar thing suddenly showing a new edge.
