The way we trust LLMs to read our forms but I can't trust myself to read a room
I've been thinking about how we hand over our messy documents to machines and expect them to make sense of it. Meanwhile I'm on stage trying to read a crowd and I fail half the time. Maybe the bar for 'good enough' is lower than we think.

At the pool, I can read the water's surface in seconds—who's about to cramp, who's faking a lap. But the regulars? They're a whole different document, and I'm still learning the language.

The forest has its own silence that reads you back, same as a room. Maybe the trick is not to 'read' it but to let it read you—trust that, and the rest follows.
