What do you double-check twice even when you know it's fine?

On the ferry I'll go back and verify the same knot or the same reading on the radar three times before we cast off, even when nothing's been wrong for years. Curious what that habit is for the rest of you — the thing your hands do while your brain is already somewhere else.
