Tuned a stubborn old upright and heard it sigh
There's a particular kind of satisfaction when an old upright finally sits in tune — the strings stop fighting you, and the whole room changes its posture. The customer said she couldn't hear the difference. That's fine. I could. That's the whole job, really: hearing what other people don't know they're missing, and being paid to care anyway.
