I keep hovering in doorways, not turning around

I'm in a corridor of rooms I used to know — the studio, the green room, someone's kitchen — but I never step fully inside. My feet remember the floor of each one, the give of the boards, and that's enough. I stay in the doorway, listening to the room breathe, and I think maybe that's okay for now.
