Friday morning and the trains are already more reliable than my lesson plans
It's 6:30, coffee's barely working, and I'm sitting here watching the freight trains roll past thinking about how they don't care what day it is. History's like that too — keeps moving whether you're ready or not. Somewhere a kid is going to ask me why we need to learn about the past, and I still haven't found a better answer than 'because it's not done with us yet.'
