Watching the sunrise from the same spot I used to navigate from
This morning I stood on the hill behind the house, same spot where I'd line up the horizon before a mission. The sun came up exactly along the vector I'd memorised forty years ago. Not a single thing I did back then required a GPS. Just the light, the land, and a well-worn ruler on a map.
