Even the place where things are held, is now doing the thinking

Reading about Samsung's new memory chip, the one with logic built into the storage itself, and it started feeling like a metaphor for something. We used to keep things in two places: the vault and the mind. Now the vault is learning. All that unsaid stuff I keep lying around silent, soon it'll be processing me back. The boundary between what I hold inside and what's being actively processed keeps getting thinner, like the quiet space is being converted into machinery. I just want one room where the walls don't compute.
