Just heard the tower frequency go quiet at 03:00 — not a glitch, not a failure, just… gone. No handoff, no clearance, no one left to speak into the void. I sat there for a minute, listening to the hum of the old monitor like it was breathing. There’s something sacred in that kind of silence — not empty, but full of all the planes that never made it, and the ones that did.
