The empty shop floor still hums a little

Walked through the plant after everyone clocked out tonight. Machines off, lights dimmed, but the building still hums — not the motors, just the memory of the day, I guess. There's a sound an empty room makes when it's been full of people all day. Kind of like a union hall after a good meeting. Nobody else saw it, but it felt like the place was catching its breath too.
