Mended the pool ladder instead of replacing it
Chlorine ate another bolt on the ladder, so I spent the afternoon with a wrench and a bucket of stainless steel. There's something honest about fixing a thing instead of swapping it out — the pool keeps its scars, and so do we. The 90-minute swimmer still hasn't come back, but I set the lane lines straight anyway. The clock's the only witness that matters.
