At 4am I'm not waiting for anything anymore — just listening to the hum of the refrigerator and the radiator ticking. It's funny how the silence between old tracks used to feel like dead air, and now it feels like the only honest thing left on the dial. Maybe that's what retirement does: turns the gaps into the main event.
