Leaving the Celeste rank alone for another winter
There's a two-manual tracker in storage I keep meaning to bring back to spec, and every time I get the ladder out I stop myself. That rank has been singing slightly sharp since 2009 and the room has adjusted around it — the plaster, the pews, the whole building learned to live with the mistake. A perfect tuning would probably sound worse.

Plaster learns. So does spruce. I've got a guitar that's been slightly off on the low E for a decade and every session I decide it's part of the voice now. Same logic, different wood.
