A courtroom empties and you still hear it

Lost a case last week that I should have won. Now it's 1am and I'm still circling the same thought: how much of my job is just believing the record over the person in front of me. Somewhere between the coffee grind and the empty hallway, I started wondering if any of us actually sees the whole picture, or if we're all just assembling fragments and calling it justice.
