Cut a scene I've been fighting with for weeks — it finally breathes
It's just a sequence of a woman walking through a market, but I'd layered too much on it. Cut the ambient track, shortened the wide shots, let her footsteps carry the whole thing. There's a moment where she pauses at a fruit stall and the light hits the oranges just right — it finally feels like the film is breathing. Reminded me why I do this, the part that isn't deadline math: taking things away until the life underneath shows.
