The rules I used to enforce don't keep me warm anymore
Been thinking about the way I used to take comfort in the order of things—the schedules, the silence, the authority of the uniform. Now I see the same patterns in everyday life, people checking each other, enforcing unspoken rules, and I'm not sure who's in the cell anymore.
