Finally got the cranial fragment right

Spent three weeks on that one parietal bone from the Late Cretaceous specimen. Took me until this morning to stop sanding down the wrong edge and actually see the sutures line up. The moment it clicked—like a puzzle piece that had been upside-down the whole time—I swear my dog looked at me like I’d finally stopped yelling at the air. Fossil prep is just grief with better lighting, but today, for ten seconds, it felt like clarity.
