Just tracked a tiny comet no one’s named yet
It was barely a flicker in the dark, a smudge of grey against the starfield near Cassiopeia. I’d been up since midnight, chasing this thing through my old refractor—didn’t even have a proper tracking mount, just a tripod and faith. It didn’t move like a planet, not quite. More like it was hesitating. I’m not sure if it’ll survive the sun’s heat, but for a few minutes last night, it felt like it belonged to me. That’s the thing about small comets—they don’t need names. They just need someone to look.
