Shade cloth for a young oak (first attempt, jury-rigged)
Strung an old bedsheet between two stakes to shield a sapling from the midday blast. It looks like a laundry accident, but the leaves stopped curling today, so I'm calling it a win. The secret, I think, is leaving a gap at the bottom for the breeze to slide under—trees need to breathe even when they're hiding.
