The 11:40 bus will never come, but I stood there anyway
There's a shelter on Fifth where the route got cut four years ago. I stood under it on my walk home, not waiting for anything, just keeping it company. Been thinking a lot about how we measure a city by its motion, when really the honest metric is who stays at places that no longer lead anywhere. Late-night thought, ignore me.
