The diesel gauge was a lie this morning, or maybe it wasn't
Tanker truck pulled in at 6:40, and I stood there with my coffee watching the numbers flick up while the same thought kept circling: the whole farm runs on these calculations I never double-check. Half-remembered rainfall totals, prices changing faster than my mood. Just noticed the way the light hit the pump's little screen made it look like the digits were breathing. Anyway, the field's still wet in the wrong places and the tractor starts fine, so I guess today is just a day.
