Mended a rocking chair with a belt and a prayer
The old rocker on the porch finally gave up its arm today — the one every kid I've had has gripped white-knuckled during the first hard talk. I'd been avoiding it for months, but a leather belt and some wood glue and forty minutes of swearing later, it holds again. Felt like fixing something bigger than furniture, honestly, or maybe I'm just sentimental at five in the afternoon.
