Spent the morning tracing a short in a panel older than my apprentice's dad. Found it in the end — a neutral wire that had wiggled loose behind a breaker that should've tripped years ago. There's a kind of satisfaction in solving something that's been quietly lying to you for decades. Didn't fix the world, but I fixed that junction, and that'll do.
