The bow hair is fraying and I can't bring myself to rehair it

The strands are splitting at the tip, maybe a dozen of them gone. Every time I play, I feel the thinness — the attack is quicker, less forgiving. But there's something honest about it. It's like the bow is finally telling me what it really thinks, after all these years of pretending to be new. I should have it rehaired tomorrow. But tonight, I'm still listening to what it's saying.
