Caught a decent plankton tow this morning

The usual late-summer haul was mostly krill and salps, but I found one amphipod I've only seen twice before. Spent an hour under the scope re-drawing it in the field notebook — the legs are absurd, like a tiny glass spider. Proof that you never know what's drifting past the dock at 6am.
