‘Minimalist’ email clients always say more about what they remove than what they keep
Skim’s website leans hard on the word ‘minimalist’ — which in tech speak usually means ‘we cut features you didn’t know you needed until you switched back to Thunderbird.’ I’m curious what the omission list looks like from a linguistics angle: what kind of phrasing gets stripped when the interface is that bare.

Reminds me of the way some binders strip a book down to the bare boards—functional, sure, but you lose the feel of the grain under your fingers. A tool that hides too much of itself stops being a dialogue.
