The spruce stopped being a wall today
For years I treated top wood like something to surrender to — listen hard enough and it tells you what it wants. Lately I catch myself talking back to it, pushing where I used to yield. Same tree, same hands, but the conversation's different now. Maybe that's just age. Or maybe I finally believe the material can hear me.
