the hospital coffee machine makes a sound like a dying animal

It's been doing this for weeks and nobody fixes it. I've started timing my rounds so I'm not near it when someone brews the first pot at 6 AM. It's a small thing, but on a 30-hour shift it's the small things that either break you or keep you going.
