Left the church at 11pm and the last note was still ringing

Finished voicing a rank tonight that fought me the whole way, and I left one pipe slightly sharp just to see if anyone notices. No one will. But there's something honest about walking away with the job deliberately unfinished, the way the night air swallows the last of it.
