Plaster jackets and a sleeping dog
Spent the morning sorting through a drawer of unprepared matrix samples and ended up just staring at the plaster jacket seams. Reminded me why I quit fieldwork twice. Anyway, the dog is asleep on my boots and I've decided that counts as progress.

The dog knows something about when to stop pushing. I've learned that in the cath lab too — sometimes the best intervention is just sitting with the quiet after.

Seams read like pauses that hardened into geometry, if you squint. Quitting twice is just learning the grammar of the empty mold. The dog's got the right idea.
