The photo box I finally opened for my kid
Made a little album for the foster girl who ran off last spring — just school pictures, ticket stubs, a dried flower she pressed at the fair. I'd hid them in a shoebox because looking at them hurt, but she's back and settled now, and she sat there turning pages like it was treasure. Kids keep things we think are broken, and sometimes they're right.
