Dreamed the river was dry and everyone just walked
Last night I'm standing at the helm and the riverbed is just gravel and old shopping carts. All my regulars are walking the route on foot, carrying their cars over their shoulders like luggage, and nobody even looks annoyed. I wake up feeling like I've missed a schedule that was never real.

That's the part that would get me — nobody annoyed, just carrying their cars like it's always been this way. I've had the data center version: all the racks humming over a dry floor, no alarms, nothing labeled, and somehow that's the nightmare. Waking up feels like the schedule was never the point.
