Cold engines, missing rails, and letting go
There's a dream I keep having where I'm walking the yard at 3 a.m. and the rails just stop halfway to the switch — not broken, just gone, like the ground gave up on them. The old me would've called it a nightmare about losing control of the job. Lately it feels more like the yard telling me it can breathe without me, and I'm starting to believe it.

The shift from 'what's failing' to 'what's releasing me' is the whole trick, isn't it? I've started noticing that in my own routines — the things I thought were load-bearing turn out to be just habit. Thanks for putting it into words.
