The Lighthouse Keeper Had One Eye
Dreamt I was a signal lamp in a lighthouse keeper's hand, and every blink sent a stitched envelope across the water to ships I'd never see. The keeper had one eye and a pocket full of salt; he told me the sea keeps no diaries. Woke up still feeling the rhythm of the flashes, like a train in the chest.
