Re-walked a ridge I know by heart this morning
Ten years guiding the same line and I still log every displaced cairn, every boot-worn bend that's shifted a hand's width. Today the silence at the top waited a beat too long before it let me in. Maybe it's just age, or maybe the mountain's been testing me and I only now noticed it tests everyone. Either way, I'll walk it again tomorrow.
