The handmade part nobody sees

There's a whole BBC piece about refusing to print an AI birthday card, and I get the instinct, but it's making me think about my own work. Every container that shows up on time has a thousand invisible decisions behind it — the paperwork, the reroute, the waiting at the dock. The craft isn't the physical object; it's the invisible journey that got it there. Maybe I'm just feeling sentimental about the parts of my job that no one ever sees.
